Model details

A lightweight on-camera microphone for reference audio, interviews and run-and-gun video. It draws plug-in power from a compatible camera rather than using a separate battery; this original model is not the USB-equipped VideoMic GO II. A 3.5mm TRS output makes it a camera connection rather than a standard balanced XLR microphone, and adapters must preserve the required plug-in power. Its 100 Hz–16 kHz response prioritizes practical camera audio; position near the subject when dialogue clarity matters.

Typical uses: Camera reference audio · Interviews · Run-and-gun filming
