PRACTICAL AUDIO EDUCATION

Learn on your own equipment.

We teach bands, staff, and volunteers on the equipment they actually use. Sessions are tailored to your team’s experience and responsibilities, with practical work in setup, soundcheck, operation, and troubleshooting.

Cofounder Josh Greene is an adjunct professor at American River College, where he teaches MUSM 306 Live Sound. His approach connects the physics of sound with microphone placement, signal flow, gain structure, system setup, and mixing.

Training can focus on an existing system or accompany an installation. For churches and venues, we can plan and install a sound system and help staff learn it as it comes into use.

Backing-track playback, in-ear monitors, wireless microphones or instruments, and the routing that connects them. Work through monitor mixes, setup, soundcheck, and troubleshooting on your own rig.
Sound system installation
Plan and install a system around your room, program, and the people operating it. Tell us what you have and what needs to improve.
Church staff & volunteers
Respectful instruction for worship leaders, musicians, staff, and volunteers. Work on clear speech, musical balance, stage volume, and the service routine.
Venue staff training
Console operation, stage patching, gain structure, soundcheck, mixing, and feedback control. Build repeatable routines for your house crew.

Can training use a band’s or venue’s existing equipment?

Yes. We teach bands, staff, and volunteers on the equipment they already use. That can include a band’s backing tracks, in-ear monitors, and wireless rig, or a church or venue’s installed sound system.

Can installation and training be booked together?

Yes. We can include staff or volunteer instruction with the installation so your team learns the system as it is put into use.

What helps plan installation or training?

Send the location, a description or photos of the current equipment, the work you need, and who will operate the system. For training, include the topics your team wants to cover.
