Backline planning checklist.

Send your date, venue, equipment list, and rider if you have one. This checklist helps cover the details; include what you know, and we’ll work through the rest. You can also plan your stage layout.

Open the planning checklist
  1. Dates and locations. List rehearsals, performances, venue addresses, soundcheck and show times, and when equipment must be ready and picked up.
  2. Exact models and alternatives. Name the required instrument, amplifier, or keyboard model and any important version or era. Identify who can approve a substitute. Note what each musician is bringing.
  3. Guitar and bass rigs. Specify heads with matching cabinets or complete combos, cabinet size, instruments and tuning, effects, and any required DI or amplifier microphone.
  4. Keyboard setup. Include the keyboard model and key count, stand type and tiers, bench, sustain or expression pedals, and amplification or DI connections. Flag any vintage keyboard and Leslie requirements.
  5. Drum and percussion setup. List shell sizes, snare, cymbals, stands, mounting hardware, kick pedal, hi-hat stand, and throne. State whether single or double pedals and any particular cymbal sizes are required.
  6. Stage plot and changeovers. Share the stage plot and input list, available space, shared equipment, and which pieces must move between acts. Include monitor, power, and connection requirements.
  7. Access and transport. Describe loading access, stairs or lifts, parking, delivery and pickup windows, and the on-site contact. Tell us about storage or overnight arrangements when relevant.
  8. Crew and final confirmation. Identify who handles delivery, setup, instrument checks, changeovers, and strike. Confirm the final equipment list, approved alternatives, accessories, services, and quote with SSS before the date. Deposit, damage, late-return and cancellation terms are listed in your quote and confirmed before booking.
