Model details
A large ribbon microphone for vocals, brass, room pickup and amplifier recording. Its pronounced proximity effect makes distance an important tone control, with rear pickup available for room sound or opposing performers. The figure-eight pattern also provides side nulls that can help separate sources when the microphone is positioned deliberately. Its passive CineMag transformer output needs a suitable recording preamp, with no phantom supply required; placement and preamp gain are especially important on quieter sources.
