Model details
The Symetrix 425 gives each channel separate expansion, compression and peak-limiting stages in a compact analog rack unit. Independent thresholds let an engineer manage low-level noise and musical dynamics without making the limiter do all the work. Stereo coupling supports linked bus processing, and the sidechain connection enables detector filtering or keyed control through the appropriate external patch.
Typical uses: Vocal and instrument dynamics · Stereo program control · Ducking or detector-EQ applications
