Model details
The 266XL provides compression and expansion/gating for two separate sources or a linked stereo signal. Manual timing controls and Auto mode allow gentle vocal leveling or stronger instrument dynamics, while OverEasy soft-knee operation can make the onset of compression less abrupt. It connects at line level through XLR or TRS, with sidechain inserts for detector EQ or external triggering; it does not have the 166XL’s separate PeakStop limiter section.
